We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Robert L. Maxwell as RSC Chair Elect. 

At our July Meeting, the RDA Steering Committee was pleased to welcome for the first time the RSC Representative for Latin America and the Caribbean, Filiberto Felipe Arellano.

The July Meeting of the RDA Steering Committee takes place asynchronously from today until Thursday, with a synchronous Executive Session today (14 July) and a Public Session tomorrow (15 July).

The RSC has opened the recruitment process for the next chair of the RDA Steering Committee. As set out in RSC/Operations/1:

RSC Chair Renate Behrens is delighted that Dr Michalis Gerolimos (Head of the Cataloguing Department, National Library of Greece) has agreed to speak at the RSC's next Public Session on Tuesday 15 July 2025 at 6pm UTC (There is a handy time converter here). 

The latest release to RDA Toolkit took place on June 6 and contains some modest changes to the standard. It includes corrections and fixes based on feedback submitted to RDA Toolkit and changes to the Guidance chapter on Aggregates. Policy statements have been added by the British Library, Library and Archives Canada, the New Zealand National Library, and U.S.

RDA Toolkit is introducing a new subscription level that provides permission to create and publish online cataloging manuals derived from the RDA standard. The RDA Companion Subscription will come with the following benefits.

RSC Chair Renate Behrens is delighted that Jessica Grzegorski has accepted the offer of a second term as RDA Examples Editor and Chair of the Examples Working Group.
