Getaneh Alemu, Wider Community Engagement Officer

Getaneh Alemu completed his PhD from the University of Portsmouth (2014), where he developed a theory of metadata enriching and filtering using a grounded theory method. He also holds an MA in Digital Library Learning (Oslo University College, 2009), an MA in Knowledge and Information Management (Ghent University, 2005) and a BA in Library and Information Science (Addis Ababa University, 2001).

Ahava Cohen, RSC Representative for Europe

Ahava Cohen holds a doctorate in Information Science from Bar Ilan University, where she focused on implementations of RDA in academic libraries. She is head of the Cataloguing Section at the National Library of Israel in Jerusalem and serves on the steering committees of the Israeli Union List and the Israeli National Authority File. Ahava teaches cataloguing and technical services courses in the MLIS program at David Yellin College and provides training for public libraries through the Israel Center for Libraries.
