In our November Meeting, RSC Members share their annual reports. These are published in the appendix to the Minutes and used by the RSC Chair and Secretary when they are drafting the RSC's Annual Report. 

In last night's Public Session, Technical Team Liaison Officer Chris Holden (pictured) introduced the Technical Working Group's Discussion Paper on Soft-deprecated Parallel Elements which is now out for Community Review. 

In last night's Public Session, the Chair of the Extent Working Group, Thomas Brenndorfer (pictured), introduced the 8 proposals that the Working Group has submitted for discussion in the Public Session of the January 2026 Meeting on Wednesday 21 January 2026 at 19:00 - 21:00 UTC.

The agenda and papers for the November Meeting have been published, and RSC Chair Renate Behrens (pictured) is looking forward to welcoming observers to the online Public Session on 18 November at 7-9pm UTC (There is a handy time converter her

RSC Education and Training Officer Elisa Sze (pictured) maintains a curated list of materials on our Learning Resources page, which many members of the RDA cataloguing community have told us they find useful.

The RSC Chair and Secretary were very sad to hear from ORDAC Chair Michela Goodwin that Charlotte Christensen is having to step down from the RSC to focus on her health.

Following the usual selection process, the RDA Steering Committee (RSC) is delighted to welcome Dr Getaneh Alemu as Wider Community Engagement Officer (WCEO) Elect. 

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Robert L. Maxwell as RSC Chair Elect. 

At our July Meeting, the RDA Steering Committee was pleased to welcome for the first time the RSC Representative for Latin America and the Caribbean, Filiberto Felipe Arellano.
