A Very Warm Welcome to Jack Ennis Butler
At the Executive Session of the RSC November Meeting yesterday, RSC Chair Renate Behrens extended a very warm welcome to Jack Ennis Butler (pictured), who is attending his first meeting this week as RSC Representative for Oceania.
Jack is well known to members of the RSC, since he supported Charlotte Christensen when he was Back-up Representative for Oceania and often attended online meetings as an observer so he would be ready to step in whenever needed.
Whilst sad that Charlotte has had to step back for health reasons, the RSC is very grateful to Jack for being able and willing to step into his new role. Jack in turn would like to thank Charlotte and his other ORDAC colleagues for all they have done to support him in preparing his annual report and responding to his first set of proposals. In particular we would like to thank Bridget Jennings for stepping into the role of Back-up Representative for Oceania.
Jack has a background in both archives and libraries, and is currently Metadata and Discovery Librarian at CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation) in Australia. You can find out more about him on his RSC webpage.
