From 2008 to 2019, she worked as Collections and Public Services Librarian at the iSchool, overseeing and managing a collection dedicated to library and information studies resources.

She has presented for the IFLA Asia-Oceania Regional Division; Encuentro de Educación sobre Organización de la Información hosted by Escuela de Bibliotecología, Documentación e Información de la Universidad Nacional, Costa Rica; Encuentro Latinoamericano de Catalogación y Metadatos; PCC Phase 1 Introductory RDA Training webinar series; ALA Core Competencies and Education for a Career in Cataloging Interest Group; and the Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE). As Education and Orientation Officer, Elisa facilitates effective RDA instruction relating to the RDA Toolkit and encourages and supports communities in their adoption of RDA.  This role has included liaising with LIS education communities to build an informal network of RDA educators/experts, identifying opportunities for RDA education and orientation internationally, and collaborating on the creation of general orientation and instructional materials. The Education and Orientation Officer is an ex-officio member of the Examples Working Group.
