The RDA Steering Committee is pleased to announce that Elisa Sze has been appointed to the position of Education and Orientation Officer.
The Education and Training Officer facilitates effective RDA instruction relating to the official Toolkit and encourages and supports communities in their transition to the official Toolkit.
The October 2021 RDA Steering Committee (RSC) meeting will be a virtual meeting due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The RDA Steering Committee is pleased to announce that Charlene Chou will succeed Ebe Kartus as the Wider Community Engagement Officer (WCEO) on the RSC. Charlene will begin as the WCEO-Elect on September 1, 2021 with a four-month training period that overlaps with Ebe’s term. Charlene will then take full responsibility in January 2022, serving a two-year term.

A proposal "Implementing the Collections Model in RDA" (RSC/TechnicalWG/2021/2) has been posted on the Documents page on this website. In four parts and prepared by the Technical Working Group, this proposal is intended to be discussed at the October virtual meeting of the RSC.

We are looking for someone with expertise in RDA and cataloging to take on the role of Wider Community Engagement Officer (WCEO) for a two-year term.
This role will provide valuable developmental experience in the international arena as well as the opportunity to be an integral part of the team responsible for developing RDA: Resource Description and Access.
The April 2021 release of RDA Toolkit was published on April 6th. It includes the addition of more policy statements from the Library of Congress - Program for Cooperative Cataloging and the British Library and introduces a small number of Best Practices for the Music Library Association.
