At the ALA Annual Conference in New Orleans in June, the members of the RDA Steering Committee and friends organized a day-long event called "A Practical Introduction to the New RDA Toolkit". The Copyright Holders of RDA are pleased to confirm that an agreement has been reached with Biblioteca Alexandrina for an Arabic translation of RDA. The translation will appear on RDA Toolkit following the conclusion of the 3R Project.

Nasjonalbiblioteket besluttet i 2013 at RDA: Resource Description and Access (RDA) skal erstatte AACR2 som katalogiseringsregelverk i Norge og at regelverket skal oversettes til norsk. Nasjonalbiblioteket rådfører seg med Den norske katalogkomité i slike saker, og fikk en klar anbefaling om en norsk utgave av RDA fra komitéen.
