For Constituency Review: Two Proposals from the RDA Examples Editor

Jessica Grzegorski in 2024: smiling and standing against a wood panelled wall

In its July Public Session, voting members of the RSC approved RDA Examples Editor Jessica Grzegorski's proposal to revise the preferred order of recording sources for early printed resources in Data provenance: Recording a source of metadata that is a manifestation that is being described (RSC/ExamplesEditor/2026/1/decisions).

Jessica (pictured) was asked to prepare a follow-up proposal to deal with issues raised by the Technical Team Liaison Officer (RSC/ExamplesEditor/2026/1/TWG) and Europe Representative (RSC/ExamplesEditor/2026/1/EURIG), and we are happy to publish this today as RSC/ExamplesEditor/2026/3 -- Proposal to add condition options regarding preferred recording source in Data provenance: Recording a source of metadata that is a manifestation that is being described

We are also happy to publish RSC/ExamplesEditor/2026/2 -- Proposal to revise guidance chapter section Introduction to RDA: Examples. This proposal recommends the addition of a new paragraph in the guidance chapter section Introduction to RDA: Examples to clarify how and when string encoding schemes are used in examples in the RDA Toolkit.
