Elisa Sze Reappointed as RSC Education and Orientation Officer

Elisa, smiling at the camera, wearing red-framed glasses, a black dress and grey cardigan, and standing in front of a wood-panelled door.

At the RSC Meeting in November 2024, the committee confirmed that the temporary co-opted post of Education and Orientation Officer (2022-2023) should be counted as separate from the permanent post, and therefore end of December 2025 would be the end of the first term of the permanent post. A second term would be possible thereafter.

RSC Chair Renate Behrens is, therefore, grateful to Elisa Sze and her employer, University of Toronto, for agreeing to stay on for a second term in the (permanent) post.

A respected educator in Cataloguing both within and outside her native Canada, Elisa has been an active member of the RSC, co-authoring proposals, contributing to outreach meetings, and writing a paper and handout which have proven popular with those teaching RDA in iSchools and elsewhere. She also put together a series of slides that can be amended and reused under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International license.

You can read more about Elisa's professional activities on her About page. She always welcomes opportunities to hear from educators and trainers regarding RDA and can be reached at elisa@rdatoolkit.org.
