Anne Welsh Reappointed as RSC Secretary

RSC Chair Renate Behrens and Director of ALA Digital Reference James Hennelly are very pleased to share that RSC Secretary Anne Welsh has agreed to stay on in post after the end of her initial term in December this year.
Anne joined the RSC in June 2022 as Secretary Elect and succeeded Linda Barnhart as RSC Secretary on 1 January 2023. She has particularly enjoyed the opportunity to work with colleagues internationally.
Under the terms of RSC/Operations/1, the RSC Secretary’s term is determined in consultation with the RSC Chair and the Director of ALA Digital Reference. The position fulfils secretarial duties to the RDA Steering Committee, reporting to the RSC Chair, and editorial duties under the direct supervision of the Director of ALA Digital Reference.
Anne expressed her thanks to Renate, James, and the rest of the RSC for the experience she has gained during her first term. Working on a complex electronic publication like the RDA Toolkit to implement RSC Decisions documents has been a steep but rewarding learning curve, and she is glad to be able to continue in this part-time, freelance contractor role.
You can find out more about Anne on her new About page. (We are creating About pages for all RSC members, starting with those who are accepting offers of reappointment this summer).
