Jessica Grzegorski is Rare Materials Metadata Librarian at Northwestern University in the United States, where she catalogues a diverse range of rare materials across the university libraries’ special collections. She has worked in the field of special collections cataloguing for nearly two decades and previously held positions at the Newberry Library, an independent research library in Chicago. 

As an active member of the Association of College and Research Libraries Rare Books and Manuscripts Sections (RBMS), Jessica has served on the Bibliographic Standards Committee (BSC) and Controlled Vocabularies Editorial Group (CVEG). Since 2019, she has been a member of BSC’s RBMS RDA Editorial Group, the body responsible for the publication and maintenance of Descriptive Cataloging of Rare Materials (RDA Edition) (DCRMR) and the development of the RBMS Policy Statements for the RDA Toolkit, and served as co-chief editor of DCRMR (2021–23). Jessica is on the faculty of Rare Book School in Charlottesville, Virginia; has led rare book cataloguing workshops; and has written and presented on topics related to cataloguing standards, training for rare materials cataloguing, and inclusive metadata and description practices. 

She has served as the RDA Examples Editor since 2024, and in this role is also the Chair of the Examples Working Group.
