On April 30th release to the RDA Toolkit beta site included some significant changes to the RDA standard and improvements to site features and functions. A few of the planned improvements to the site were not ready for the release, but will be added this evening. This follow-up release includes...
- Citation numbering -- see separate post on this new feature
- Print PDFs -- At the top of the each page you will find a Print button. A click will download a PDF of the page your are viewing. The PDFs include all the content in the file (including examples), with one exception. The element reference section in element pages is not included in the PDF.
- Help -- Guidance on navigating the beta site and using search parameters is now available through a dropdown menu labelled Help in the toolbar at the very top of the site. The Help guide covers a range for topics and will continue to be enhanced and expanded as the site continues to develop.
- Admin site -- a new administration site is now available. Simply click on the Administration button in the footer of the beta site. Use your account username and password to log into the admin site. The landing page allows for three options. Click on Manage Institution Views to create and edit institution views. Click on Manage Users and Profiles to add or delete profiles, set account information and preferences, and generate reports. Finally, there is a checkbox that allows subscription administrators to turn on or off local sharing of bookmarks and notes.
