Papers available for the Public Session of the October Meeting of the RDA Steering Committee
On 17 October, the RSC will be delighted to welcome registered observers to its public session. Having previously published the agenda, we are pleased today to publish the papers as follows:
- RSC/Agenda/413-443 (No change from previous publication)
- Agenda Item 417: Soft-deprecated Terms (Note: Damian Iseminger, Chair of the RSC Technical Working Group, will present on the findings of the recent survey. Observers will note that this follows on from Agenda Item 415 in the Executive Session, in which Damian is asking voting RSC members to consider the discussion paper RSC/TechnicalWG/2023/2 - Soft-deprecated Elements Survey Results, which asks that a decision on soft-deprecated elements be deferred to a future time).
- Agenda Item 418: RSC/PlacesWG/2023/2 - [Proposal on the] Revision of Corporate Body: jurisdiction governed and Place: jurisdiction governed of (Formal responses from voting RSC members have been added)
- Agenda Item 419: RSC/ReligionsWG/2023/2 - Proposal to Revise Term of Rank or Honour or Office (Formal responses from voting RSC members have been added)

Our hosts, OBVSG are able to welcome some observers in person (first come, first served) and a wider number of observers via MS Teams.
You may also be interested in the half-day event organised jointly with OBVSG, RDA: Think Globally, Act Locally, which takes place the day before and, again is open to a limited number of participants in person and a larger number online via MS Teams. Please note: if you would like to attend both events, you do need to register separately for each.
