Upcoming Event -- Perspectives on Teaching Official RDA

The 3rd Meeting on Education for Information Organization “New Pedagogical and Technological Perspectives for Teaching and Applying the Official RDA Toolkit in the Training of Librarians”

The School of Library Science, Documentation and Information at the National University of Costa Rica, the College of Library Science and Archives, and the Institute of Library and Information Research, both of them at the National Autonomous University of Mexico University of Mexico (UNAM), in conjunction with the RDA Mexico Group, have organized this conference whose main objective is to promote exchange of ideas among scholars, teachers, students, and practitioners about information organization and cataloging teaching, including innovative strategies, technological resources, and pedagogical approaches that foster the meaningful teaching and learning of the LRM model, as well as the Official RDA Toolkit conceptual framework, and its application in diverse Latin American contexts.

It will be held in a hybrid format at the National University of Costa Rica’s School of Library Science, Documentation and Information on May 26 to 29, 2026. Registration is free but required. This is a Spanish language event.
