RDA in Translation - Español

ALA Publishing, en representación de los titulares de los derechos de autor de “RDA: Description and Access”, firmó en 2023 un acuerdo con la Asociación de Estados Iberoamericanos para el Desarrollo de las Bibliotecas Nacionales de Iberoamérica (ABINIA) para la traducción al español de la nueva versión de RDA. ABINIA designó a la Biblioteca Nacional de México como responsable de dicha traducción, la cual fue realizada por un grupo de trabajo integrado por profesionales con experiencia en catalogación y dominio del inglés, bajo la coordinación de un destacado referente de la catalogación en español, Felipe Martínez. La traducción de RDA al español está disponible en línea desde octubre de 2025 a través del RDA Toolkit.

Asimismo, ALA Publishing firmó un acuerdo con Información Científica Internacional (ICI Group) para que actúe como distribuidor autorizado del RDA Toolkit en la región de América Latina y el Caribe, así como en España.

ALA Publishing, acting on behalf of the copyright holders of RDA: Description and Access signed in 2023 an agreement with the Association of Ibero-American States for the Development of the National Libraries of Ibero-America (ABINIA) for the Spanish language translation of the new RDA version. ABINIA designed the National Library of Mexico as responsible for the Spanish language RDA translation, which was realized by a Working Group, made up for professionals with experience in cataloguing and English mastery under the coordination of an outstanding Spanish cataloging leader, Felipe Martinez.  The Spanish RDA translation is available online since October 2025 at the RDA Toolkit.

In addition, ALA Publishing signed an agreement with Información Científica Internacional (ICI Group) to be the authorized distributor of the RDA Toolkit throughout the Latin America and the Caribbean region and Spain.
