RDA Toolkit Redesign Workshop

Friday, June 21st - 8:30 am-4:00 pm

This day-long event will provide a workshop-style examination of the new RDA Toolkit with an emphasis on RIMMF 4.  RDA experts will walk attendees through using the beta Toolkit and RIMMF for different scenarios such as describing a manifestation, creating an access point for a work, creating a description of an aggregate, etc. The morning presentation topics will prepare participants for the afternoon hands-on activities. Q&A will be available at the end of the day. Bring your PC laptop! Lunch will be provided. Registration is required. RDA Forum

The RDA Forum will report on the progress and next steps for the 3R Project and recent activities of the RDA Steering Committee and the North American RDA Committee (NARDAC). James Hennelly of ALA Digital Reference and representatives of NARDAC will make presentations. Time will be reserved for a Q&A session as well.

Gordon Dunsire will discuss the impact of the 3R project on the RDA infrastructure, including the changes to the RDA vocabularies and the registry and the use of GitHub. Time will be reserved for a Q&A session.
