Conversation continuing between the RSC and BIBFRAME

The conversation continued at the 2019 ALA Midwinter Conference in Philadelphia between representatives of the RDA Steering Committee and the larger BIBFRAME community (which includes the Library of Congress/NDMSO, LD4P, Share-VDE, and the organizer group of the annual BIBFRAME workshops in Europe). A possible field of future cooperation is an approach to application profiles.

Conversation between RSC and BIBFRAME

Representatives of the RDA Steering Committee and of the Organizer Group of the Annual BIBFRAME Workshops in Europe (among them Library of Congress/NDMSO, LD4P, and Share-VDE) began a conversation at the 2019 ALA Annual Conference in Washington, D.C. about the relationship and interoperability between RDA and BIBFRAME.

RDA Examples Editor appointed

The RDA Steering Committee is pleased to announce that Honor Moody will succeed Kate James as RDA Examples Editor. Honor will begin as RDA Examples Editor Elect on May 1, 2019 with an eight month training period that overlaps with Kate's term. Honor will then take full responsibility in January 2020, serving a two year term.

RDA Examples Editor position open

The RDA Board and RDA Steering Committee (RSC) seek a qualified library professional with expertise in RDA and cataloging to take on the role of RDA Examples Editor for a two-year term.
