The details of the January release follow.

Content Updates

Library of Congress Policy Statements (LCPS) have been revised and updated. This revision includes additions and deletions of LCPSs, corrections of typos, and rewritings of some standing LCPSs. A complete list of the revised LCPSs is available on the Library of Congress website.

A number of typos in RDA have been corrected.

The Help Guide has been revised and updated.

Development Updates

The release features a significant improvement in loading time for chapters. The improvement was accomplished by breaking the chapter into multiple "pages." Next Page and Previous Page buttons as well as a string of linked page numbers have been added to the user interface to provide easy navigation on chapters.

Icons have replaced English language text buttons in order to accommodate the introduction of non-English RDA text in the future (RDA-6). The icons are intended to express the action of the associated button, but the meaning may not be clear to all. Mousing over an icon will open a text box defining the button. The full menu of icons and associated texts is available.

Fixes

A display oddity in the AACR2 browse tree has been corrected, and a link to the Library of Congress report on LCPS revisions has been added LCPS browse tree.

Next Release
