RDA Toolkit's Virtual User Group will debut on Wednesday, October 5th. What sets the Virtual User Group apart from past webinars is the emphasis on RDA Toolkit development and user participation. We will provide the information on development, and we’re looking to attendees for lots of interaction. So here's a primer on how to give feedback, ask questions, and generally have a voice in the RDA Toolkit Virtual User Group.
The webinar RDA Toolkit Essentials will hit the Internet on Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at 2:30pm (CST, GMT-6). This webinar is something new for RDA Toolkit. Unlike past webinars, it is not a one-off event. Instead, it will return every other month (typically on the third Wednesday), and each occurrence of RDA Toolkit Essentials will focus on exactly that--the essentials of using RDA Toolkit. We'll review subscription options, logging in, navigating, creating Workflows, and setting bookmarks. We'll cover the variety of content available and offer tips for getting more from your account.
We are happy to introduce RDA Toolkit Virtual User Group. The Virtual User Group will convene for its inaugural session on Wednesday, October 5th at 9:30am (CDT, GMT -5). The meeting will include a demo of recent enhancements to RDA Toolkit, a look at changes in the pipeline, and a discussion of priorities going forward.
Our final vendor interview is with Serials Solutions, a provider of discovery and e-resource management solutions. Susan Presley, Manager of Metadata and Bibliographic Control for Serials Solutions, answered our questions.
