Managing Your RDA Toolkit Subscription

The RDA Toolkit administrative system is a valuable tool for cataloging managers and library adminstrators. The admin system allows for the easy management of your account in a variety of ways, including:

  • Changes to usernames and passwords
  • Addition/subtraction of IP addresses
  • Updates of user profiles
  • Extraction of usage reports

Tips in Threes -- Workflows

The recent ALA Conference in New Orleans offered a lot of news and quite a few good ideas in regard to RDA. Cheryl Boettcher Tarsala's presentation on RDA workflows, entitled "Fashioning Effective Workflows," was particularly full of the latter and immediately struck us a good material for Tips in Three. Dr. Tarsala, most recently an instructor for the GSLIS LEEP program at the University of Illinois, spoke about the value of workflows in making the most efficient use of RDA Toolkit.

Join publisher Troy Linker and the ALA Digital Reference staff for a free RDA Toolkit webinar July 12th at 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM Central time (UTC – 5). The webinar, entitled RDA Toolkit Checkpoint: Where We Are and Where We’re Heading, will include a discussion of the results of the U.S. National RDA Test and its impact on RDA and RDA Toolkit.

Beacher Wiggins, co-chair of the U.S. Test Committee, will join us for the question and answer session to address specific questions about the Committee's recommendations.
